Managing Human Factors

This course is designed to help the participants to better manage and operate their aviation organization, with a particular emphasis of their daily operations in the Asia-Pacific Region.
When applied to their daily aviation operations, human factors and systems safety knowledge will assist the participants to optimize the fit between people (themselves and co-workers) and the overall systems in which they work in order to improve the safety and performance level. Upon completion of this course, participants should understand the impact of human factors and aviation systems safety in the air transport industry on their day to day operations, understand their personal limitations and how to enhance the safety level with a new paradigm for the enhancements of the current and future air transport industry. This knowledge will also be beneficial during the safety investigation activities.

Ajay’s passion for aviation and teaching stems from his 34 years in the Aviation industry as a pilot flying STOL turboprop aircraft and over 30 years of teaching pilots as a flight and ground instructor. He has taught pilot’s technical and performance classes and Crew Resource Management. He is rated on the Dornier 228 aircraft as a TRE/ TRI and has flown the DeHavilland Twin Otter, Saab 340, and PAC 750 XL. In addition, he is rated on the A320. He holds Airline Transport Pilot licenses in the USA and Nepal.
He has also worked in airline management and holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Northampton, UK. He has submitted his thesis on the retention of STOL pilots in Nepal for the Professional Doctorate in Business Administration (Research) from the University of Canberra, Australia.
He is currently based in Singapore and manages the trading company he founded.
