In 2016, Aviation Institute of Management was established as a partnership concern primarily by Dr Wali Mughni (CEO), Prof Wali Durrani and Capt Hadi Rizvi. Later other members joined in and the organization was converted to a private limited concern in April 2018.

Dr Wali Mughni exclusively represents his alma mater Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (USA) in Pakistan. He was also a consultant to the Aviation ministry, Government of Pakistan. Dr Mughni was a lead architect and writer who authored Pakistan’s National Aviation Policy – 2015. He worked for NASA as a researcher, IBM as an IT business consultant and Pakistan Air Force as a fighter pilot. He was the Top Gun (Sher Afghan) award winner of Pakistan Air Force and was also awarded country’s highest peacetime operational award Sitara-e-Basalat.

Prof Wali Durrani (Late) was one of Pakistan’s most experienced, competent, and qualified educationist with numerous success stories in his track record. He held the coveted appointment of Registrar, Karachi University and CEO/Rector/VC of other universities including Hamdard, KASBIT, IoBM, etc. He was a consultant for Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority’s schools and colleges. He was a “Management & Financial Advisor” to the Sindh High Court. Prof Wali Durrani also remained an “Organizational Reform Expert” and “Budget & Planning Expert” with Federal Ministry of Law for “Access to Justice Program in Pakistan”.

Similarly, Capt Hadi Rizvi is an exceptional professional in his own domain. He is a world-renowned English poet, a prolific writer, and a current operational pilot with over 50 years of operational and instructional flying experience in the PAF, PIA and other training and operational flying organizations. He holds MA English and Law degrees. He is also an Aviation Management faculty member for grad and under-grad programs.

Another core member of our team is Mr. Azeez Siddiqui, a veteran aviation professional. He has held important positions in PIA and Saudi Airlines for over 43 years. From planning to operations to strategy development, Mr. Azeez Siddiqui has the knowledge and experience to help the airline improve revenues and contain costs. He is also a faculty member at the Aviation Institute of Management.

Dr Nazir Ahmed Vaid, is a serial social entrepreneur who is also a core member of AIM team. From strategy to opportunities, he is continually assisting AIM in establishing and growing the business and promoting varied educational activities.

Mr. Ahsan Qureshi, is an out-of-the-box thinker and qualified educationist with multifaceted experience in projects and business development. He is the youngest of the core team members and is a promising administrator of the institution.
